Terms Of Use

Terms and Conditions of Use

Welcome to Majestic Northeast Tours and Adventures (referred to as "the Company," "we," "us," or "our"). These Terms and Conditions govern your use of our website, mobile services, and any travel bookings, packages, hotel reservations, or transportation services made through us.

By accessing our website or booking any services with us, you agree to comply with and be bound by the following terms. Please read them carefully before making a booking.

1. Scope of Services

Majestic Northeast Tours and Adventures acts as an agent and facilitator to curate and organize travel experiences. We partner with third-party vendors—including hotels, transport operators, local guides, and activity providers—to deliver your itinerary.

While we vet our partners thoroughly, the Company does not directly own or control these independent businesses and cannot be held fully liable for their independent actions.

2. Booking and Payments

  • Booking Confirmation: A booking is considered confirmed only after the receipt of the specified advance payment (token amount) and the issuance of a formal confirmation voucher by us.
  • Payment Schedule: The remaining balance must be paid in full according to the timeline specified in your customized itinerary or invoice (typically 15 to 30 days before departure). Failure to pay the balance on time may result in the automatic cancellation of your booking under our cancellation policy.
  • Pricing Dynamic: Prices quoted are based on current vendor rates, fuel costs, and government taxes. We reserve the right to adjust pricing prior to final payment in the event of drastic fuel hikes or tax amendments.

3. Traveler Responsibilities and Conduct

A. Health and Fitness

Traveling in the Northeast (particularly high-altitude areas like Tawang in Arunachal Pradesh or parts of Sikkim) can be physically demanding. It is the traveler’s responsibility to ensure they are physically fit for the chosen itinerary. Please consult a doctor regarding high-altitude travel if you have pre-existing respiratory or cardiac conditions.

B. Documentation and Government Permits

  • Indian Citizens: Certain areas require an Inner Line Permit (ILP). You are responsible for providing accurate government-issued ID proofs (Aadhaar, Passport, Voter ID) in a timely manner for us to process these.
  • Foreign Nationals: A valid Indian Visa and, in some areas, a Protected Area Permit (PAP) or Restricted Area Permit (RAP) are mandatory.
  • Consequence: The Company cannot be held responsible if entry is denied by government border checkpoints due to missing, invalid, or falsified documentation provided by the traveler.

C. Respect for Local Culture

The Northeast is home to diverse indigenous tribal communities with rich, distinct traditions. Travelers are expected to respect local customs, dress codes at religious sites, and seek permission before photographing locals or sacred ceremonies. The Company reserves the right to terminate a tour without a refund for any traveler displaying abusive, unlawful, or severely disruptive behavior.

4. Alterations to Itineraries

  • Changes by the Traveler: Any requests to amend a confirmed itinerary must be sent in writing. While we will try our best to accommodate changes, they are subject to availability and may incur amendment fees from hotels or transport providers.
  • Changes by the Company: Due to local operational realities (such as weather, landslides, or sudden VVIP movement), we reserve the right to alter routes, substitute hotels of an equal category, or adjust schedules to ensure safety.

5. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Majestic Northeast Tours and Adventures shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from:

  • Delays, cancellations, or disruptions caused by airlines, railways, or third-party transport.
  • Theft, loss, or damage of personal baggage and belongings.
  • Injuries, illnesses, or fatalities resulting from adventure activities (e.g., trekking, river rafting, paragliding) or natural causes. We highly recommend that all travelers purchase comprehensive travel and health insurance prior to their trip.

6. Intellectual Property

All content on our website, social media channels, and promotional materials—including text, graphics, logos, images, and itineraries—is the property of Majestic Northeast Tours and Adventures. Unauthorized copying, reproduction, or distribution of this content is strictly prohibited.

7. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with our services shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Guwahati, Assam.

8. Amendments to Terms

We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms and Conditions at any time without prior notice. The version posted on our website at the time of your booking will apply to your trip.
